Kay Lynne Sattler's sculptural collage of clay and steel sets the tone for the 15ht Annual Celebration of the
Arts at The Ritz Carlton Kapalua. Sattler's extensive exploration of technique and material exemplifies how traditional
ceramics can be transformed through skill and imagination. Inspired by this year's theme, "E Ola Ka Mana… Life to the
Spirit," Sattler's piece "Kalei na'uhane" translated which means, The Lei Of Spirits. . .The Passage Beyond,
will be one of the featured works in celebrating the Hawaiian Spirit.

Fresh from her studio in Ka'anapali, sculptural clay artist Kay Lynne Sattler continues her unceasing exploration
of material and form with her annual winter show at Village Galleries. The artist's inventive approach combines traditional
hand-coiled clay with the ancient art of precious metal gilding to create her unique sculptures.
Like the sultry heat hovering over the islands; Eye Of The Sun appears to slowly unfold, casting
warmth and illumination of reflecting golden hues.
Since representation with Village Galleries in 1989, Sattler has generated international acclaim, and was recently selected
to exhibit in the 25th Gold Coast Ceramic International with Gold Coast City Art Gallery in Australia.
Join The Village Galleries for the artist's gala reception and the unveiling of new works.

Kay Lynne Sattler was one of 200 entries selected from around the world to exhibit in the prestigious 25th Gold
Coast International. Her work will be available for permanent and private acquisition. Gold Coast City Art Gallery
is one of Australia's most prominent public regional galleries. It is the Gallery's mission to continue to provide
high quality art to the Gold Coast, hoping to promote and encourage a broader participation in the visual arts. Opened
in 1986, The Gallery is also recognized for presenting a diverse and dynamic program of exhibitions such
as the Gold Coast International and the Conrad Jupiters Art Prize.

An exhibition of sculptural clay by artist Kay Lynne Sattler will premier with Village Galleries,
at The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. The artist's exhibition will showcase her most recent endeavor of primitive fired clay and
gold leaf in the breathtaking series "From the Flame."
Inspired by the enduring and ephemeral forms of nature, Sattler's exhibit captures the spirit of fire
using primitive fired clay and gold leaf in the most imaginable way. The exhibition also to include a standing collection
of work gilded in copper and palladium leaf.
Join The Village Gallery for the artist's champagne reception and the unveiling of new work. The Ritz-Carlton
Hotel on Sunday, August 6 from 4-6 pm.
